Legacy Traditional Schools is enrolling for our pre-kindergarten program. Our program will prepare your child for kindergarten with hands-on activities, amazing teachers and a superior curriculum. Space is limited and is offered on a first-come, first-served basis, so enroll your child today!

How Pre-K at Legacy Prepares Your Child for Kindergarten

In the 2023-24 academic year, our Kindergarten graduates showcased their advanced literacy and mathematics skills through exceptional performance in key kindergarten assessments. The Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills (DIBELS) reading assessment measures critical early reading skills, while the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) assesses proficiency in mathematics. Kindergarten students who attended Legacy Pre-Kindergarten outperformed their peers by over 20 percentile points in DIBELS and by more than ten percentile points in MAP math assessments!

Curriculum

The pre-kindergarten program is aligned with the Arizona Department of Education’s Early Learning Standards: Pre-kindergarten children will participate in primary language arts (Spalding), Math, science, music, art, and physical education through hands-on discovery and other age-appropriate activities.

Lunch and Snacks

Included in full-day tuition are a morning snack and lunch (delivered from the school cafeteria and eaten in students’ pre-kindergarten classrooms). Breakfast, provided at no additional charge, will be offered prior to 8:00 am in the pre-kindergarten classrooms.

Please note, Legacy Traditional pre-kindergarten is not an allergy-free school or a nut-free school. Parents of full-day students may send their children to pre-kindergarten with a packed breakfast, lunch and/or snack.
